Ready for the call of duty, Ben’s customer dedication and attention to detail is second-to- none. He may look fresh-faced, but he has 15 years’ expertise to draw upon – his excellence made him the perfect nomination for Apprentice of the Year at East Berkshire College.

Knowing we all want to avoid the bills on our four-wheels, Ben really does like to get to know and understand the driver as well as talking sensibly about any work that needs to be done to ensure the driver’s safety.

When he’s not getting his hands dirty at work, he’s getting them dirty at home, rebuilding a classic MG Midget in graphite grey.

Kevin

Cannibal Smith

Never without his gun –spray gun that is – Kevin is the dedicated technician to turn to when life hits you with a bang, prang, scratch or dent. His paint skills are so in demand, one customer asked if he could sort out her bodywork as well as her car’s.

Jokes aside, Kevin understands the impact a car accident has on a person. His advice to drivers, when dealing with their insurers, is to always get a second opinion. He will happily do all the negotiating with insurers for a more honest assessment.

Kevin’s experience in coach crafting began at his father’s spray paint business working on motorboats, progressing to 15 years’ working for Lotus Motors until having his own dedicated space at MRT Autos.

Richard

‘BA Baracus’

Richard was once a landscape gardener, but that was the wrong path for his working life. He found inspiration to change and turn his green fingers into greasy ones at MRT Autos. He is now sparking up his career as a trainee technician.
Richard is learning from the best and studying his craft with support from the rest of the team.
He is always smiling, quick with the witty banter and his friendly style is ideally in tune with the customer care people expect at MRT Autos. So, next time you call us to collect your car, it’s Richard’s face that will probably greet you.

‘Howlin’ ‘mad-funny’ Murdoch’

Ever ready with a joke or clever pun, Sammy could give the Duracell bunny a run for his money with all his ‘rabbiting’. But seriously, everyone needs a guy like Sammy on their team. Ever ready with a smile and a whizz technician working on the jig.
He’s been dubbed the ‘car whisperer’ for his 99.9% correct diagnosis of a car’s fault. He simple uses the power of his intuition, a packet of chocolate digestives from his nan and training learnt from the same sensei who taught Ben.
